Filing your commission claim
Body:

Posted By Admin on 07/27/2009 01:13 PM
You and your MV project manager are jointly responsible for requesting MV Accounting to send invoices to your clients.

Normally, MV project managers will send their invoice requests to MV Accounting at the end of the month. If you want this to be done sooner, work with your MV project manager to arrange this.

You and your MV project manager will receive copies of all PDF invoices that MV Accounting sends to clients. Save these, because you will need them to claim your commission claim.

Commissions are calculated based on the total value of the invoices less third-party expenses such as printing, postage, shipping, creative licenses, and professional fees.

To claim your commission, you must email Marketing Valet the following documents:

1) Commission Worksheet (attached below). Fill this out to compute your commission and to list any reimbursements that Marketing Valet owes you. Attach receipts for reimbursements. You may have to work with your project manager to get third-party expenses, i.e. creative licenses, voice-over fees, printing, etc.

2) Copies of PDF invoices. Attach the actual invoices that were sent to your client by MV Accounting, which you should have copies of. These act as "proof of performance." If you are missing an invoice, ask your MV project manager for a copy.

Optionally, you may include an invoice from you or your company to Marketing Valet, which has the same payable amount as your commission worksheet.

Notes:

1) Marketing Valet payment terms to consultant are Net 15 days from receipt of the Commission Worksheet and supporting PDF invoices.

2) To reduce paperwork, consultants may only submit a commission claim once a month.

3) Consultants are 1099 independent contractors. Fill out the W9 form below and fax back to Marketing Valet at 916-244-0248. There are no withholdings on your commission payments.
